Friendly welcome really important / essential I never go back to a hotel if the welcome is not good I initially I was refreshingly surprised about your policy of making the mini-bar free on arrival (but see comment below because how this worked wasnt made completely clear)
    Negative:
Having thought your policy about mini-bar being free and replenished was good but I just checked my bill and I was charged 25 DKK which is confusing and dissapointing – and having felt like you were are a great hotel (unlike other hotels who try to ‘rip people off’ with the mini bar prices – which I usually completely avoid) I am now some what irritated – if it was only free for first refill (?) then this really should have been explained very clearly – if you had would have been fine. You very nearly got it right – a very small gesture like this (reciprocity) makes customers feel good at very low cost. If its only on the first night it applies then you could easily correct the situation and make it clear by adding a note on the fridge door – saying the first night is free – a reinforcement to the customer that you are not like other hotels.

    Nice looking Hotel. Free Minibar

When we arrived first thing we noticed was the massive construction site right in front of the Hotel. (By the way the Hotel Staff told us it will last for another few months) When entering the Hotel you are welcomed by a sign on the door to wipe your feet due to the construction works outside. The girl at the check in desk was very welcoming however that changed quite soon. When asked where the Hotel Bar is we were told that there was an “emergency in the kitchen over the weekend” so there is no Hotel Bar, no Food and no Room Service. I thought that was amazing considering we arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and the emergency was the previouse weekend. When booking the Hotel I asked for a Twin bed room. Well guess what we received a double bed room. We rang respection and they made us walk all the way back down to pick up new keys for a Twin bed room. The rooms have a nice design and all but the heath in the room was unbearable… No heathers on or anything but it was roasting. We asked reception what the story was with the heath, the reply we got was ” You should see it in the Summer” and thats all. You are able to open the window alright but it only opens into a roofed courtyard, so basically into another room. Also when we drank the two bottle of water out of the “free” minibar we went down to reception the next morning asking if we could have a bottle of water as one work mate had to take his tablets. We were told that we had 2 bottles of water in the minibar. So the Staff made us look for the houskeeping staff in the corridors to ask them if we could have another bottle of water. Honestly normally we are quite easy going but this just topped it all. I would definetly never stay in this hotel even if there was a bar or food or anything really availble I would not stay again due to bad rooms and bad Staff.

    The old atmosphare.
    Negative:
The rooms are not equally nice, such a big difference between 1st floor and 4th floor. More selection of TV channel stations would be appreciated.

The first room I got was in no way a 4 star hotel room. I needed to pay for an upgrade to get a decent room.

The Hotel is very good located new to the city hall. Rooms are ok and value is ok too.
    Negative:
The rooms could be cleaner and you don’t even get a glass of water in the afternoon!! There are signs with names of celebrities, that stayed at the hotel. I´m wondering if they didn’t get drinks too…..

Beautiful, historic building in the heart of downtown Copenhagen. Close enough to the central train station to walk. Very close to Stroget, Tivoli, restaurants, park. Service was fantastic.
    Negative:
The rooms at the front of the hotel are negatively affected by the nightclub directly across the street.

    Great location and friendly staff.
    Negative:
Pictures in the site were a bit misleading; the interior is somewhat much more oldish and warn. Breafast did not meet the expectations for the price/quality. Standard Rooms are small.

It’s a quiet place with all that I could need. Service was efficient and friendly.
    Negative:
The check out was long with only one person attending a long cue of clients

1/ Need better photos of rooms on website. Bath was listed but was smallest bath I have ever seen — more like an oversized sink! 2/ webiste listed free cot but then hotel tried to charge for one on departure, even automatically debiting credit card before I noticed – very poor. 3/ rooms much smaller than they looked on website. 4/ staff helpfulness inconsistent, some staff rude.

The location was central. The bed was very comfortable.
    Negative:
The price of the room was very high for a small room with appalling view and nothing special about it. Breakfast was not included in the price. We had recently stayed in a nearby hotel with much better facilities, better atmosphere and much better value. This was a major disapointment.
