Positive:
Location good, room and food very good
Negative:
For that kind of hotel, extra charging for internet looks pretty much ridicolous…..
Positive:
Nice hotel with attentive staff especially for business needs.
Positive:
Mainly the price which was very reasonable. The hotel was comfortable, and the concierges were helpful in making recommendations to us about restaurants and where to go.
Negative:
The hotel has a five-star rating according to your website. However, I would rate it more as a four-star, business hotel, comfortable and functional, rather than elegant and luxurious. It was a little removed from the city centre, which was a small inconvenience but not a major issue, except that it was too cold to walk anywhere. Our stay was pleasant enough, but there was nothing especially memorable about this hotel. When making the booking, I thought the price was very reasonable for what was purported to be a five-star hotel. I got what I paid for.
Positive:
The bar staff, particularly the young ladies from Slovenia as they were very welcoming and made our stay most welcoming. All other staff were extremely polite and helpful, however, these two went the extra mile.
Positive:
It is a good hotel, however, its no where near a 5*. The staff are friendly and its very clean
Negative:
We booked an Executive room as I wanted to spoil my partner. When we arrived we were told the two upper levels of the hotel were closed for refurbishment and there was a room near the main restaurant for executive guests. The room was small and very bland. In the evenings it was packed as other guests used it for the free drinks and breakfast time we had to go to the main restaurant collect our food then walk back down the corridor to the exec room. Again the room was always full and we ended up finding a table in the main restaurant. Very poor service
Negative:
No Norwegian TV-stations Too slow breakfast service, had to wait for bacon, orange juice, tea-cups, fried egg. This happend both days and also somthing like it last stay.
Positive:
Good location. Good, very comfortable, rooms.
Negative:
Minimal interaction with staff, but check in was undertaken by a very miserable member of staff, and Im disappointed that given we were travelling with young children they didnt mention that they sold tickets to Tivoli for a discounted rate
Positive:
Very clean yet very much a business hotel
Negative:
No complaints apart from advertising reduced event tickets for local amusement park (Tivoli) rides, and when requested at the Concierge desk, stated that they had “run out” – highly unlikely or poor service as these tend to be in ample supply, and are not numbered or day specific – bottomline is that the service at the Marriott failed to deliver on something well advertised
