Location was excellent, breakfast was great as at all Guldsmelden hotels, comfortable rooms.
Negative:
It is a bit worn down in places, and I wasn’t pleased that the breakfast and spa were not included in the room cost as they had been at other Guldsmelden hotels I had stayed at. The breakfast, at 22 Euro is wonderful but way overpriced. The spa fee was one fee for the entire visit but was over 40 Euro and that wasn’t really acceptable in my view. I would recommend the hotel, but let buyer beware about the extras.

Service was not too customer focused. We were forced to change a room from standard to superior to accommodate an extra bed and the only thing they did was cover a sofa with bedding.

Location was excellent. All three couples are walkers and the hotel was off the busy streets; but close to the main railway terminal, Tivoli and a 20 or so minute walk to the main historic areas. Also we met the owner and she is very customer oriented, friendly, and committed to a eco-friendly business..and has trained her staff accordingly.

Absolutely loved our stay. The staff could not do enough and the hotel was 5 mins away from the centre, but in a quiet street. The room was amazing. I recommend you upgrade to a superior room. Breakfast was superb and guilt free. This is a hotel I would visit time and time again!

The staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful. I love the eco products and the decor. The lobby was lively in the evening. I also loved the back patio with the fire pit as a little urban escape.
Negative:
The asian rugs are nice, but they get caught on rolling luggage and the desk chair. My room was so tiny I could barely move. Sitting at the desk was not at all comfortable (and I needed a space to work), and to get past the desk I would have to push the chair all the way in. There wasn’t much counter space in the bathroom, and the shower experience was totally frustrating, because the water temperature would go from scalding to icy with no in between.
