Cabin that sleeps 6 was very spacious with its own bathroom. No tv but was fine. Breakfast was basicly continental with bread, cheese, and meat. Good time to talk to other guests. Will stay again. Recommend booking the large cabin just for the private bathroom. Docked besides “Noma” listed as the #1 restaurant. Look it up.
    Negative:
Did not have any round power adapters. I had only square adapters. The owner was in Germany so we did not get to know the history of the ship or hear stories. Maybe next time.

We enjoyed a memorable stay on the Arctic Janus. Yes, it’s far cheaper than many hotels, but this is soooo much more than just some ‘budget’ place to stay. True, not everyone wants to step out of the en-suite comfort, but its well worth it (the superb main room is en-suite and is obviously great for families or a larger group of friends) In addition to the great location (which will be even better in Feb 2013 when the bridge to Nyhavn opens) and the whole experience of being on a ship, you are made to feel completely at home by such a great host. Breakfast was varied and plentiful – glad we paid the extra for it. You are also right next door to the Noma restaurant, so get your reservation made in good time! A very refreshing change from the sterile hotel chains – and a stay that you’ll always remember fondly.

Great to be staying on a boat on the waterfront, albeit frozen water! Quirky arty location in canal area but easily accessed from airport and walk into centre. Near Danish architecture centre. Warm welcome from owner and knowledgeable in helping you explore your intersts while in Copenhagen. Boat warm, quiet and comfortable in frozen weather. Wonderful holiday! Great for solo traveller.

A very special and absolutely wonderful place to stay, and so welcoming, helpful and friendly that it felt more like staying with frriends, or maybe one of those old-fashioned B&B’s you rarely find any more where you are made to feel at home and almost part of the outfit. An easy walk away from the city centre, and yet all you hear at night is the waves lapping at the boat. And where do you get a view of the world’s best hotel from your bedroom window? I am looking forward to coming again!

It was a treat to stay on a working ship. It was not the most luxurious of venues, but for charisma and atmosphere it cannot be beaten. Its location in Copenhagen was excellent, and the Captain was very welcoming.
